Every server is custom built to meet our extremely high specifications. We use only name-brand components such as IBM hard drives and Quad Xeon processors. All new SwitchFusion shared hosting servers have at least 4 GB of DDR RAM and on Raid configuration using SATA drive. As a result of our high standards when it comes to hardware, SwitchFusion has never experienced a hard drive failure on a virtual hosting machine - a claim that very few providers are able to make.

All virtual hosting servers run on either RedHat Linux Enterprise or Centos 4.x (UNIX) with the latest stable 2.4 series kernel release. Content is served using the most powerful and stable software systems available: Apache (HTTP), ProFTPD (FTP), Exim (MTA), CPpop (POP3) and OpenSSH. All accounts receive access to our proprietary account administrative interface - Cpanel 10.x - through which you can manage all aspects of your virtual hosting account. equipment and facilities 

We employ a fault-tolerant monitoring system on all virtual hosting servers. Each server contains a self-sustaining service monitoring system within itself. This system is capable of identifying possible system failures, notifying the systems administrators, and taking the appropriate corrective measures. The internal monitoring system is reliable 99% of the time - however that's not good enough. As a backup, we utilize a remote monitoring system to check all services every two minutes. The moment a problem is suspected, the on-call administrator is immediately notified and can attend to the problem quickly and efficiently. This is another example of the many steps we take to ensure that our customers receive maximum website uptime and availability.
